About Me
My name is Dmitry, I am commercial photographer based in Houston, TX. This website is devoted to my work in erotic and sensual photography. My endeavor in this genre began few years ago as I matured as photographer and started exploring various techniques and concepts. Among the masters of the past, I was influenced by bold and brave images of Helmut Newton as well as elusively erotic pictoralist photographs of William Mortensen. When it comes to contemporary artists, I admire largely monochromatic art by contemporary European masters Antonin Tesar, Pavel Brunclík, and Joe Bloch. I also get a lot of my inspiration from unbelievably sophisticated works by Stefan Grosjean, which are full of radiance, color and light experimenting.
In my own style I aim to create imagery which celebrate female body and evoke desire. I try to use light, composition and my skills to bring the best of my models. As a male photographer, I am constantly pushing the elusive fine line between objectifying and admiration. Ever since I started my journey in erotic and sensual photography, I was always interested in what separates classy from vulgar in nude photography. I consider pursuing that question as a main driver of my growth as an artist in the genre.
Even though I am not shy of full nudity in my works and often use it, I believe that ideal erotic photograph is the one which evoke sexual feelings without actually showing a lot and by tapping into viewer’s imagination. In that regard I often find myself experimenting with implied nudity, suggestion, and exploring different provocative compositions. I am always interested in collaborations with other photographers and models.
